Why we’re different
We offer much more than just a mediation service at Co-Parenting for Your Kids.
Making decisions about your children, your property and closing the book on a chapter of your life can be hard and there might be more to it than you think.
Family mediation is my passion. I genuinely appreciate the opportunity to support families to make their life different.
People who contact me are often caught in ongoing conflict. They might be newly separated and trying to organise for the first time, how their children will live in two different households. They might need to decide how everything they’ve worked toward for the last few years should be divided. Even when families have been divorced for ages there might be arguing about changing arrangements that are no longer working.
Regardless of why you’ve found me, be assured that I understand how difficult it is to make decisions when you’re in the throes of ending a relationship or marriage. Our children are the most important people in our life. Separation and divorce are times of immense emotional upheaval, often filled with mistrust of our ex-partner and fear for what the future will hold.
When you choose to mediate you start the process toward agreements that will guide your life for many years. You and your ex-partner are in control of how life will be for you and your children – it’s a pivotal moment in your lives.
Sometimes not everyone is able to co-parent peacefully and you might need support to manage the way your child’s other parent behaves. As a conflict coach, I can support you through the difficulty of abusive or harassing communication from your ex-spouse, non-child-focused parenting decisions they make and other clashes in the way you each approach parenting.
Your marriage and relationship might be over, but your relationship with your children isn’t. Now is the time to focus on the future – and carve out a new kind of life – a different life from what you expected, but a great life.
Marilyn Monroe said, “when life gives you lemons, make margaritas”. I say you don’t need to make margaritas, you just need to take a deep breath, focus on how you want your life to be, and take the first step forward. As long as you’re moving forward, you’re on the way to reaching your goal.
Contact me today and let’s start moving things along, for you and your children.
